About Sanur
Sanur is an amazing destination to live. It has a great family & friends atmosphere with decent restaurants, several shops, a great sea walk, local Sunday market and a lovely beach. The morning sunrises are incredible with views of the mighty Gunung Agung to the North while the sun rises from the East. You can catch a morning yoga class at the Mertasari Beach, a kite board lesson at the Sanur Beach Hotel or go for a canoe paddle from the Hyatt Beach, there is always something to do! If you are avid surfers or kite boarders, both activities are quite reputable in Sanur! Alternatively, shopping for local products, attending the Sunday organic Market, or cycling along the beach walk, there really is something for everyone. There are many decent cafes and restaurants to choose from. Sanur is not a party zone, but there are a few clubs and bars to indulge in.
The Sanur beach is a lagoon beach surrounded by a coral reef. During low tide, you will not be able to swim but the shoreline provides great beach combing opportunities to see local shell fish life and the likes. At high tide, the sea is about 1 - 2 meters depth and snorkelling is also possible. The culture of the Balinese still prevails in this area and processions are common. The locals are polite and friendly. It is a safe destination with little crime or the likes.
